Summary
The primary responsibilities of this position include processing of job packets for sold-system orders and custom compressor or vacuum system designs, as well as supporting the production team and sustaining team with technical expertise for ongoing projects. Additional responsibilities include projects to maintain existing standard product lines, continuous improvement projects, and basic controls work.

Essential Duties
- Process sold orders, producing Job Packets used by the factory
- Convert customer requirements into product designs
- Review and approve custom designs before they are released to production
- Support production and sustaining engineering for day-to-day technical needs
- Troubleshoot production issues on the floor as needed
- Support sales in answering pre-sale technical questions
- Create documentation of new designs including 3D models, drawings, bills of material and other technical information
Knowledge, Skills, & Experience Required
- A bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline is required
- 0-4 years of relevant experience
- Experience creating designs in 3D CAD; Solid Edge preferred
- A technical aptitude for engineered systems allowing the person to quickly grasp the product designs and the applications of the products
- Project management skills necessary to scope out and execute small to medium complexity projects
- The ability to work with other team members, providing technical expertise and supporting a positive work culture
- The skills to prioritize work assignments and meet design deadlines
- Skills necessary to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Work Conditions
While carrying out responsibilities in the Plant or Warehouse, employees may be exposed to noise. Typically, the noise level is moderate, although hearing protection may be necessary in specific designated areas.

During the course of performing job responsibilities, the employee may occasionally need to stand, walk, or sit. They will utilize their hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls, extend their arms and hands to reach, negotiate stairs, maintain balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, as well as communicate verbally or through listening.
Frequent sitting and prolonged use of a computer keyboard and mouse are typical aspects of this position. Additionally, the employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
